About the Artist

Stephanie Hansen is a Florida-based mixed-media artist whose work blends bold color, layered texture, and playful visual storytelling. Working from her studio in St. Augustine, Florida, she creates vibrant paintings that reflect the energy of Pop Art while embracing the tactile possibilities of mixed media.

Her creative path began in corporate graphic design in the early 2000s, where fast-paced visual problem-solving sharpened her eye for composition. Over time, that design background expanded into hands-on exploration across collage, encaustic wax, bookbinding, and wearable art, eventually leading her to painting as her most direct and expressive form.

A self-taught artist, Stephanie draws lasting inspiration from a lifelong fascination with color, contrast, and material experimentation. Her process often begins with vivid acrylic underpaintings, then builds through layered applications of oil, ink, graphite, and found elements such as vintage paper and metallic accents. The result is work that feels energetic, textured, and full of movement.

Stephanie’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries and private shows throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., Northeast Florida, and Savannah, Georgia, and her work is held in private collections from Palm Beach to Nashville. Her art invites viewers to experience everyday imagery through a lens of curiosity, optimism, and joy.
