Bronwen Chandler
Bronwen Chandler finds her muse in Northeast Florida’s landscapes—from the St. John's River to its beaches and marshes. Her representational art, mainly in oils but also in acrylics and watercolors, aims to evoke the essence of these locales with emotions ranging from peace to nostalgia. After a technology career, retirement led her to painting full-time, starting with a senior center art group. This led to local art awards and an invitation to show in New York. Bronwen is part of the First Coast Plein Air Painters, thriving in the morning calm either outdoors or in her studio. Inspired by artists like Richard Schmidt and John Singer Sargent, she continuously refines her conventional technique, which she meticulously plans in her sketchbook.
