Biography and Background
Janet Gallagher discovered her passion for art during a simple drawing class. That one lesson inspired her so much that she decided to study art education at the University of Southern Maine. There, she focused on drawing and later taught in public and private schools, as well as alternative and adult programs. One of her most recent teaching positions was at the Council on Aging in Hastings, Florida.
In 2019, Janet retired and moved to Florida. Today, she devotes her time to perfecting her painting skills and growing as an artist. Each brushstroke reflects her commitment to telling heartfelt stories.

Janet calls herself a “returning artist,” driven by the desire to create art that truly stands the test of time. With years of experience behind her, she focuses on subjects that feel ageless, encouraging viewers to take a closer look and appreciate every detail.
