Laura is a mixed media artist working mostly in acrylic. She also paints murals and writes poetry. Her work is described as “whimsical, colorful and romantic.”
Laura aspires to be an artist who is tuned into present moments of life as inspiration for the art. As she writes prose and poetry, the word-swirl becomes the foundation of the work and is usually found partially obscured in the background thus serving as the energy body of the piece.
Energetic and expressive! The artist believes that inspiration is all around us everywhere we look; waiting to be found like hidden treasure.
Laura spent many years as a visual display artist and interior space planner and holds a BFA in Art & Design. Currently, she is art curator and creative director for ArtBox. She is also a teacher of Yoga and Pilates. Four humans call her “Mom.” When not in the studio working or teaching yoga classes, you can find her surrounded by myriad young adults and rescued furry creatures.
